arr. Lloyd "Skip" Martin, conds. Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer & Wolfgang PembergerIn 2016, the twentieth JOUB concert season, the University Orchestra of the University of Bern, together with the Jazz Orchestra of the University of Bern will perform the work Scheherajazz as a world premiere.
Lloyd "Skip" Martin (1916-1976), an American clarinetist, saxophonist, and arranger, revised Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic poem, Scheherazade to create Scheherajazz for big band and symphony orchestra. The score is considered lost and was transcribed 2015/2016 on behalf of JOUB.
