In 2016, the twentieth JOUB concert season, the University Orchestra of the University of Bern, together with the Jazz Orchestra of the University of Bern will perform the work Scheherajazz as a world premiere.
Lloyd "Skip" Martin (1916-1976), an American clarinetist, saxophonist, and arranger, revised Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic poem, Scheherazade to create Scheherajazz for big band and symphony orchestra. The score is considered lost and was transcribed 2015/2016 on behalf of JOUB.
